Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Punjab government, alleging that it is prioritising political publicity over addressing key public welfare issues. He claimed that the government's approach has left the people of Punjab disappointed and troubled. Speaking to reporters after attending a religious function at Gyan Sthal Mandir in Ludhiana, Saini said the state government should focus on resolving issues affecting the public rather than engaging in political promotion. The Haryana Chief Minister expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, the growing menace of drug abuse, rising unemployment and the slow pace of development. He alleged that the current government has failed to live up to the expectations of the people who voted it into power and has not fulfilled the promises made during the elections. Saini further stated that increasing hardships faced by farmers and growing frustration among the youth are the result of what he described as the government's flawed policies. He stressed that Punjab urgently needs better governance, transparent leadership and a stronger focus on development to put the state back on the path of progress. He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government remains committed to the development of every part of the country and continues to extend support to Punjab through various central schemes. Saini expressed confidence that the people of Punjab would give priority to good governance in the future. During his visit, the Haryana Chief Minister also visited the residence of BJP District General Secretary Narendra Singh Malli. He was welcomed by BJP District President Rajnish Dhiman and former Member of Parliament Amrik Singh Aliwal. Several BJP leaders and local party workers were present on the occasion, including Dr. Kanika Jindal, Yashpal Janotra, Manish Chopra, Councillor Suman Verma, former Councillor Roopamdeep Kaur, Apar Singh, Advocate Sukhminder Singh Malli, Ashok Rana and Keshav Gupta.
