PAU-KVK holds ‘Agri Awareness Camp’ to promote modern farming

Ferozepur : PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ferozepur, under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, organized an agricultural awareness camp as part of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan. The camp aimed to equip farmers with knowledge of modern and sustainable farming practices.

During the event, interactions were held to educate farmers on government-linked agricultural schemes, modern agricultural techniques, soil health and fertilizer efficiency, stubble management, integrated pest and disease management, and improved vegetable cultivation practices. The emphasis was on adopting scientific methods in agriculture to boost productivity and income.

The event commenced with an introductory session on the Abhiyan and agricultural schemes by Dr. Gurmail Singh, Deputy Director (Training). KVK experts delivered lectures on key agricultural issues. Practical demonstrations and interactive sessions ensured a better understanding of the topics. A dedicated question-answer session allowed farmers to raise field-specific queries, which were addressed in detail by the experts.

Literature and pamphlets were distributed among the participants to reinforce the key messages of the Abhiyan. Farmers appreciated KVK's initiative and expressed a keen interest in implementing the newly learned practices on their farms. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming KVK’s commitment to farmer education and rural development.
