Speaker Interacts with Patients, Orders Improvements in Healthcare Facilities

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kulatar Singh Sandhwan conducted a surprise visit to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, where he interacted with admitted patients and reviewed the healthcare services being provided at the institution. During the visit, the Speaker inspected various wards and spoke with patients who had come from distant areas for treatment. He enquired about their health conditions and gathered feedback regarding their treatment experience and any difficulties they were facing. Sandhwan also held discussions with doctors and health officials to obtain detailed information about the treatment facilities and services available at the hospital. Taking note of the concerns raised by patients, he directed the concerned authorities to address the issues promptly and ensure better service delivery. The Speaker stated that the Punjab government is committed to providing accessible and high-quality healthcare services to the public. He highlighted that while Aam Aadmi Clinics are delivering free and quality healthcare at the grassroots level, efforts are also being made to strengthen major medical institutions and other healthcare infrastructure. He further assured that the minor shortcomings identified during the visit would be resolved at the earliest, with the aim of improving the overall healthcare system and ensuring better treatment and facilities for every patient.
