Woman Shot During Property Possession Dispute in Chandigarh’s Sector 42, Condition Critical

A property dispute took a violent turn in Chandigarh’s upscale Sector 42 on Saturday when a woman was allegedly shot by a lawyer while attempting to take possession of a house under court orders. The incident left the woman critically injured and created panic in the locality. The injured woman has been identified as Rajinder Kaur Koda. With the assistance of people present at the scene and the police, she was immediately shifted to PGI Chandigarh, where she remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment. According to available information, Rajinder Kaur had reached the Sector 42 property to carry out the possession process in accordance with directions issued by the court. During the proceedings, an argument reportedly broke out between her and a lawyer who was present at the site. Police said that as the confrontation escalated, the lawyer allegedly lost his temper and fired at the woman using his licensed firearm. The bullet struck Rajinder Kaur, causing serious injuries. Soon after receiving information about the incident, local police teams rushed to the spot, secured the area, and initiated a legal investigation. Authorities are now examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting and taking further action in accordance with the law.
