The team defeated defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets in a high-scoring encounter on Friday. The match was played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, where Rajasthan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, Bengaluru posted a strong total of 201 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Rajasthan Royals chased down the target of 202 runs comfortably, reaching 202 for 4 in just 18 overs. The highlight of the chase was a blistering innings from young Suryavanshi, who scored 78 runs off just 26 balls, including eight boundaries and seven sixes. Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 81 runs, playing a crucial role in stabilizing and finishing the innings. Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 21, putting Rajasthan under slight pressure. However, Suryavanshi and Jurel turned the match decisively in Rajasthan’s favor with a rapid partnership. The duo added 108 runs in just 37 balls, including a 100-run stand that came in only 34 deliveries, effectively taking the game away from Bengaluru. With this victory, Rajasthan Royals have continued their impressive run in the tournament, registering their fourth win in a row.
