A major fire broke out at a house in the Kishanpura area of Jalandhar after a short circuit reportedly occurred in a fan installed inside the home temple. During the incident, a gas cylinder exploded, leaving three people injured with burn injuries. According to reports, the incident took place in the morning hours. The fire spread rapidly due to the short circuit and engulfed the entire house within a short span of time. Thick clouds of smoke were visible from a considerable distance, causing panic among residents in the area. Local residents initially attempted to control the flames before informing the fire brigade. Upon receiving the alert, fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and launched an extensive firefighting operation. After nearly three hours of continuous efforts, the fire was finally brought under control. Officials said that by the time the flames were extinguished, almost all household belongings inside the house had been completely destroyed in the fire. The three injured individuals sustained burn injuries following the cylinder explosion during the blaze. Preliminary information suggests that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the fan installed inside the temple area of the house. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
