Shehzad Poonawalla, Siwet Tomar Clash on ‘Rise & Fall’; Political Leaders React

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla was allegedly assaulted by fellow contestant Siwet Tomar during an argument on the reality show ‘Rise & Fall’. Videos purportedly showing the incident have circulated widely on social media, prompting reactions from several political figures.
The incident reportedly occurred during an argument involving actor Swara Bhasker and Poonawalla in the latest episode of the show, which streams on Prime Video. The disagreement appeared to involve their differing political and ideological views before Tomar entered the discussion.
In footage from the episode circulating on social media, Poonawalla can be seen and heard referring to a tattoo on Tomar’s body while questioning his decision to side with Bhasker. Tomar has several tattoos, including one on his left arm that appears to depict a trident.
The argument subsequently turned physical, with Tomar seen allegedly hitting Poonawalla. Poonawalla was later seen on camera wearing a torn kurta.
Tomar was subsequently reported to have been evicted from the show following the alleged physical altercation.
Political Leaders React
The incident also drew reactions from political figures on social media.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj expressed concern over the footage involving Poonawalla and strongly condemned the incident.
Former Indian Youth Congress president Srinivas BV also reacted to the incident, expressing concern about whether Poonawalla had been seriously hurt and condemning the reported assault.
Rashtriya Janata Dal national spokesperson Priyanka Bharti, meanwhile, appeared to take a sarcastic approach in her reaction to the incident involving the former BJP spokesperson.
The alleged altercation has since become a subject of discussion on social media, with clips from the episode attracting reactions from viewers as well as political figures.
