Bathinda Government School Student Allegedly Assaulted; Family Files Police Complaint

Allegations of physical assault involving an 11-year-old Class 6 student have emerged at a government high school in Ghaniyya Nagar, Bathinda. The student's family has approached the Civil Lines police station, alleging that the child was beaten by his English teacher. According to the information available, the student, identified as Sagar, studies in Class 6 at the school. His family has alleged that English teacher Manjit Kaur assaulted him. Following the incident, the family brought the matter to the attention of the police and submitted a complaint at the Civil Lines police station. School Principal Denies Serious Assault Allegations School principal Sanjeev Garg has denied the allegations of serious physical assault against the student. He said that teachers always work for the welfare of their students. According to the principal, the student was creating disturbances in the classroom and the teacher only gave him a mild reprimand or disciplinary warning. Garg maintained that the matter was being presented in an exaggerated manner. Police Conducting Investigation The Civil Lines police are investigating the matter. Assistant Sub-Inspector Kulwinder Singh is conducting the inquiry. Police are recording statements from the student and his family and examining the facts and circumstances surrounding the complaint. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
