Tragic Crash Near Pushkar: Bus Carrying 31 People Falls Into Deep Gorge

A tragic road accident occurred on Sunday in Ajmer, where a passenger bus lost control and plunged nearly 150 feet into a deep gorge in the Pushkar Valley. The incident resulted in the death of two people, while 28 others sustained injuries, including five who are reported to be in critical condition. According to available information, the bus was carrying 31 passengers and was on its way to Pushkar. The passengers were reportedly traveling to Pisangan (Ajmer) to attend a ceremonial event. The accident took place about three kilometers before Pushkar, ahead of Sanjhisar in a घाटी area, when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall into the gorge. Local residents present at the scene immediately initiated rescue efforts. They used makeshift ropes made from clothes to pull injured passengers out of the gorge, helping save several lives before official rescue teams arrived. The injured were first taken to the government hospital in Pushkar and were later referred to JLN Hospital in Ajmer for further treatment. Following the accident, a long traffic jam was reported in the Pushkar Valley area. Rescue operations are currently being carried out by SDRF, Civil Defence teams, and the local police administration. Authorities have also launched an investigation into the incident.
