SCERT Delhi Promotes Practical and Engaging Approaches to Hindi Education

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi, organised a five-day orientation programme for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) teaching Hindi, with a focus on making classroom instruction more creative, practical and student-centred.

The programme was conducted at the training wing of SCERT Delhi. It aimed to familiarise teachers with modern techniques and effective approaches to Hindi language teaching.

The initiative was held in the presence of Jatin Goyal, Director, SCERT Delhi, and Dr Mukesh Yadav, Joint Director, SCERT Delhi. Dr Mukesh Kumar, Nodal In-charge for TGT Hindi, coordinated the programme.

During the sessions, teachers were introduced to innovative methods of teaching Hindi. Discussions covered the development of language skills, teaching through literature, creative classroom activities, inclusive education and the effective use of teaching-learning materials.

A series of workshops and practical sessions helped participants explore strategies to encourage greater student involvement in classrooms. The sessions also focused on making the teaching process simpler, more engaging and effective.

Experience-sharing sessions provided teachers with an opportunity to discuss classroom challenges, share their professional experiences and present innovative ideas related to teaching.

The programme was organised in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises the continuous professional development of teachers. Through this initiative, SCERT Delhi sought to encourage innovation in Hindi teaching and improve the overall quality of education in schools.
