PM Modi Calls for Positive Social Transformation, Highlights Rural Development and Women’s Empowerment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers to move beyond vote-bank politics and dedicate themselves to social reform and positive transformation within society.
Addressing participants of the motorcycle rally ‘Seva Yatra’ through a virtual interaction, the Prime Minister said political workers should actively contribute to social change while serving the nation. The rally is travelling between Varanasi and Vadnagar, marking a special initiative linked to his public life and service.
During his address, Modi said the gap between urban and rural India has narrowed considerably over the past 12 years. He highlighted significant improvements in rural infrastructure and noted that women have become increasingly self-reliant during this period.
Referring to the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi, the Prime Minister said the Father of the Nation not only led the freedom movement but also worked tirelessly against social evils. He urged political workers to follow a similar path by remaining committed to social reform alongside their public and political responsibilities.
Modi also praised sanitation workers who managed cleanliness arrangements during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. He said his decision to wash the feet of sanitation workers was inspired by a desire to seek their blessings and recognise their contribution to society.
Sharing personal experiences, the Prime Minister said such journeys had played an important role in shaping his own life. He added that the lessons and experiences gained through these travels continue to guide him like a mentor even today.
The motorcycle rallies, travelling from Vadnagar to Varanasi and from Varanasi to Vadnagar, have been organised to mark 25 years of Narendra Modi’s public service. The events began on September 17, coinciding with his 76th birthday, and are scheduled to conclude on October 7. Vadnagar is Modi’s birthplace, while Varanasi is his Lok Sabha constituency.
Paying tribute to Deendayal Upadhyaya, a leading ideologue of the Sangh Parivar, the Prime Minister highlighted seven principles associated with him: service, balance, self-discipline, coordination, positive thinking, sensitivity and dialogue.
Modi said these principles would play a crucial role in building a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and encouraged party workers to adopt them in their public life.
Several senior political leaders attended the launch events of the rallies. The Vadnagar programme was attended by Amit Shah, Bhupendra Patel, Eknath Shinde, and Anupriya Patel, while the Varanasi event saw the participation of Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath, N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Chirag Paswan.
