Son of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Joins JD(U), Vows to Strengthen Party Organization

Nishant Kumar, the son of Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, formally joined the Janata Dal (United) on Monday. He said he would work towards strengthening the party’s organizational structure. Nishant Kumar, 40, an engineering graduate, was inducted into the party at its headquarters in Patna in the presence of senior leaders including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh and the party’s national working president Sanjay Jha. Speaking on the occasion, Nishant said that his father’s decision to move to the Rajya Sabha was a personal one and that the family respects it. “We will continue to work under his guidance,” he said. He added that his father has served as Bihar’s longest-tenured chief minister and has contributed significantly to the development of the state over the past 20 years. According to Nishant, the people of Bihar will always remember these contributions. Expressing gratitude to party leaders and supporters, he said he would honor the trust placed in him and work to take the government’s development initiatives to the people. Nishant received a warm welcome when he arrived at the party office. Party workers celebrated the occasion by beating drums and waving party flags. Some supporters even arrived on decorated horses and held posters reading “Nishant Hai To Nishchint Hain.
