Indian-origin taxi driver Rahmat Pasha, 37, has been granted permanent residency in Australia after displaying exceptional courage during the deadly attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Ignoring the risk to his own life, Pasha rescued injured people from the scene amid heavy gunfire and is credited with saving the lives of approximately 18 to 20 people. In recognition of his bravery, Australian authorities have granted Pasha permanent residency. The applications for permanent residency submitted by his wife and three children are also currently being processed.
