Regional Parties Must Be Strengthened for Punjab’s Prosperity: Manpreet Ayali

Dakha Assembly constituency MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali on Tuesday joined the 'Akali Dal Waris Punjab De' organization. He was formally inducted into the outfit by Bapu Tarsem Singh, father of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh, during a ceremony held at the Chandigarh Press Club. Speaking on the occasion, Ayali said that a strong regional political party is essential for the prosperity and progress of Punjab. He stated that he would continue working consistently towards Panthic unity and would remain committed to efforts aimed at bringing like-minded groups together for the welfare of Punjab. Ayali also raised questions regarding the extensive use of central investigative agencies in the country. He asked why such agencies appear to become more active during election periods and emphasized the need for these institutions to function independently, transparently, and impartially. Addressing another key issue, Ayali said that elections to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) should be conducted every five years in accordance with established rules. He pointed out that SGPC elections have not been held in Punjab since 2011 and said that the polls should be conducted at the earliest. Reiterating his commitment to Panthic causes, Ayali said he would continue to work towards strengthening unity among Panthic forces while advocating for issues concerning Punjab and its people.
