Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has arrived in India on a four-day official visit. He reached Mumbai earlier today and is staying at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit will take place from February 27 to March 2. The primary objective of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Canada, with a focus on expanding cooperation in key sectors such as trade, energy, technology, and defence. This marks Mark Carney’s first visit to India as Prime Minister, making it a significant step in enhancing ties between the two nations. During his stay, Carney is scheduled to meet business leaders in Mumbai to promote investment opportunities in Canada. Discussions are expected to cover areas including infrastructure, clean energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. The meetings aim to encourage deeper economic collaboration and attract new investments.
