A tragic incident has been reported from Maharashtra's Thane district, where the body of a 90-year-old man was recovered from a water-filled pit after he reportedly left his home following an argument with his daughter. The deceased has been identified as Vasant Obale, a resident of the Rammandir area in Ambarnath. According to the information available, the dispute took place over a piece of bread during a meal. Following the argument, the elderly man left his house around midnight in an upset state. Family members later began searching for him, but at around 12:30 a.m., his body was found in a water-filled pit in the Chinchpada area. Police suspect that the elderly man may have jumped into the pit while under emotional distress and anger. The body has been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) at the Ambarnath West Police Station and initiated an investigation into the incident.
