Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema dedicates development works worth nearly ₹10 crore in Baghrol and surrounding villages to the public Construction and widening of nearly 19 kilometres of roads around Baghrol resolve decades-old issues Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema inaugurated development works and laid the foundation stones of new projects worth nearly ₹10 crore in Baghrol and surrounding villages. On this occasion, he congratulated the villagers, the Sarpanch, the Panchayat, and Aam Aadmi Party workers, stating that these projects would prove to be milestones in the development of the area. The Finance Minister said that a nearly 3-kilometre-long road from Baghrol to Bujrak has been constructed at a cost of ₹1.10 crore. Similarly, a 2.35-kilometre-long road from Baghrol to Burj Tilla and Kheri Nagaiyan is being constructed at a cost of over ₹1 crore. He further informed that a 2.75-kilometre road from Baghrol to Ballamgarh is being built at a cost of ₹1.16 crore. In addition, a nearly 4-kilometre-long road from Baghrol to Kheri Dagaiyan and the village ring road (phirni) is being constructed at a cost of ₹1.83 crore. The Finance Minister stated that around 12 kilometres of earthen village paths, which had remained unpaved for the last 70–80 years, are now being paved at a cost of ₹5.25 crore. This will provide significant relief to the villagers. He also informed that the construction of an important bridge in the area has been completed, which will strengthen connectivity between two villages and significantly improve transportation facilities. Besides this, the work of widening the roads from Baghrol to Kangrodi and Kamalpur is also underway at an estimated cost of ₹4.50 crore. The Finance Minister said that, overall, the construction and widening of nearly 19 kilometres of roads is being carried out, resolving issues that had persisted in the area for decades. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, priority is being given to rural development, and the government is committed to providing basic infrastructure and amenities to every village. Harpal Singh Cheema said that these development projects would greatly benefit the villagers and play a significant role in strengthening the region's transportation infrastructure.
