Amritsar Awareness Meeting Urges People to Join Fight Against Drug Abuse

An awareness meeting was organised in Ward No. 58 of the Amritsar Central Assembly constituency under the Punjab government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign, with the support of the WDC committee.
The meeting was led by Amritsar Central MLA Dr Ajay Gupta, while Dikshit Dhawan, Majha Zone in-charge of the Nasha Mukti Morcha, attended as a special guest.
Residents of the ward raised positive slogans against drug abuse and assured their support for efforts to make Punjab drug-free.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Ajay Gupta said the fight against drugs was not the responsibility of the government alone but a collective responsibility of society. He said the dream of a drug-free Punjab could be achieved only through active participation from the public.
Dikshit Dhawan said all members of the Nasha Mukti Morcha were extending full support to the Punjab government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign.
Those present at the meeting included Nasha Mukti Morcha member Honey Nahar, Amritsar Urban district president of NMM Monika, Rajesh Handa, Halqa Vice-Coordinator, Karuna Sagar, Raju Bhatia, Block Coordinator, and Ajay Noel, acting president of the WDC in Ward No. 58. Other workers and residents of the ward also attended the meeting.
