Family Narrowly Escapes as Roofs Collapse Amid Rain and Hailstorm

A family had a narrow escape after the roofs of two rooms in their house collapsed following heavy rain and hailstorm in the Sant Nagri area late at night. According to information, the incident occurred around midnight when the family members were asleep. Veena Rani stated that a sudden sound of a piece of cement falling from the roof alerted her mother-in-law, Mahinder Rani, and the children, who immediately rushed outside. Shortly after the family evacuated the rooms, the roofs of both rooms collapsed completely. Mahinder Rani said that she quickly called out to her son Kala and ensured that all family members moved out of the house in time. Although no casualties were reported in the incident, significant financial loss was incurred as household belongings were buried under the debris. The affected family, which falls below the poverty line, has appealed to the administration for compensation to repair the damaged structure.
