America Plans Major Strike on Iran’s Missile Launchers and Factories Tonight

The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has entered its eighth day, with tensions continuing to escalate. A senior US official has indicated that a major military strike against Iran could take place later tonight. Speaking to Fox News on Saturday, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the planned operation could be the largest attack carried out against Iran so far during the conflict. According to him, the primary objective of the strike would be to significantly damage Iran’s missile launchers and missile-manufacturing facilities. Bessent said the operation is intended to weaken Iran’s missile capabilities substantially. The statement comes amid ongoing military operations between the countries and increasing concerns about further escalation in the region. Meanwhile, an analysis by The New York Times, based on satellite imagery and video footage, indicates that Iran’s naval forces have suffered heavy losses during the first week of attacks by the United States and Israel. According to the report, at least seven Iranian naval vessels have been destroyed, while key naval infrastructure at two naval bases has been damaged. The entrance to an underground naval facility in the Strait of Hormuz was also reportedly targeted in an attack. In a separate development, NBC News reported, citing multiple sources, that Donald Trump is considering the possibility of sending US troops to Iran for ground operations. The report states that Trump discussed the idea with White House aides and Republican leaders. During these discussions, he also outlined potential plans regarding Iran’s future after the war, including the possibility of cooperation between Tehran and Washington in the oil sector. However, sources indicated that Trump is not currently discussing a large-scale ground invasion. Instead, he is reportedly considering the option of deploying a limited number of US troops for specific strategic missions.
