Premium Petrol Prices Hiked in India Amid Middle East Tensions

Oil marketing companies have announced an increase in the prices of premium petrol across India. According to media reports, the price of premium petrol has been raised by ₹2.30 per litre with effect from March 20, 2026. Following the hike, the price of premium petrol in Delhi has reached ₹113.77 per litre. The revised rates came into effect from 6:00 AM on Friday. The increase has been attributed to the rising global crude oil prices, driven by ongoing tensions and conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran in the Middle East. However, officials clarified that there has been no change in the prices of regular petrol and diesel. The latest revision applies only to premium petrol variants.
