Anurag Rastogi to Continue as Chief Secretary of Haryana for Another Year

Chandigarh : The Central Government has approved the extension of service of Anurag Rastogi, IAS (HY:1990), as Chief Secretary of Haryana for a period of one year.

As per the official communication from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, Rastogi's tenure has been extended from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. The extension has been granted in relaxation of Rule 16(1) of the AIS (DCRB) Rules, 1958 by invoking Rule 3 of AIS (CS-RM) Rules, 1960.

The approval follows a proposal submitted by the Haryana Government on May 23, 2025. The official letter regarding the extension was issued from North Block, New Delhi, and signed by Bhupinder Pal Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India.
