Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu has made a series of serious allegations following the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at locations linked to Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora, intensifying political tensions in the state ahead of next year’s Assembly elections. Speaking to a news channel after the raids, Bittu claimed that Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha could emerge as a witness in the case and may disclose details related to alleged financial irregularities involving influential individuals in Punjab. He suggested that Chadha’s evolving political stance could lead to revelations impacting several people connected to the matter. Bittu also accused Sanjeev Arora of misusing land that was allegedly allocated for industrial development. According to him, a large stretch along the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road, meant to boost industry and generate employment, was instead used for constructing residential flats for personal gain. However, when asked to provide evidence supporting these claims, Bittu stated that it was now up to the media to investigate and bring out the facts. Further intensifying his allegations, Bittu claimed that Arora frequently traveled to Dubai to manage financial dealings, hinting at possible foreign links in the मामले. These claims have not been independently verified, and no official confirmation has been issued by investigating agencies so far. Referring again to Raghav Chadha, Bittu alleged that tensions between Chadha and the Aam Aadmi Party had become evident. He stated that Chadha would “obviously provide all details” and added that officials allegedly involved in such transactions could face action as the investigation progresses. Responding to questions regarding the timing of the ED raids, Bittu said that agencies like the ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) function independently and are not controlled by political authorities. He rejected suggestions that the कार्रवाई was politically motivated. In a separate Facebook post, Bittu shared a photograph of Sanjeev Arora with the caption, “All will be caught,” further fueling the ongoing political debate.
