Hanuman Ansh Box Office: Rs 312.38 Crore in India After 54 Days, Eyes New Milestone News Story

Vishal Chaturvedi’s spiritual drama Hanuman Ansh, based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, continued its strong theatrical run on Tuesday. The film registered a significant recovery on its 54th day after witnessing a sharp decline in collections on Monday.
According to Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh earned Rs 3.10 crore net in India on Tuesday from 4,411 shows. With this collection, the film’s total domestic net earnings have reached Rs 312.38 crore.
The movie’s domestic gross collection stands at around Rs 360 crore, while it has earned another Rs 39 crore from overseas markets. Its worldwide gross collection has consequently reached Rs 408 crore.
Highest eighth-Tuesday collection
The film’s Tuesday performance marked a 37.8 per cent increase over Monday’s collection of Rs 2.25 crore. On Sunday, Hanuman Ansh had collected Rs 9 crore net, meaning Monday witnessed a 73.9 per cent decline.
Sacnilk data also indicates that the Rs 3.10 crore collection is the highest eighth-Tuesday collection recorded by the film.
The week-on-week comparison is notable as well. On its 47th day, which was the previous Tuesday, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 4.90 crore net from 7,702 shows. This Tuesday, it earned Rs 3.10 crore despite being screened across around 43 per cent fewer shows.
The film also saw a substantial improvement in occupancy. Its Hindi 2D version recorded overall occupancy of 29.11 per cent on Tuesday, compared with 17.24 per cent on Monday.
Night shows recorded the biggest improvement, with occupancy rising from 22.08 per cent to 43.69 per cent. Evening occupancy increased from 20.62 per cent to 33.85 per cent, while morning occupancy rose from 7 per cent to 10.31 per cent.
Hanuman Ansh continues its theatrical run
The film’s sustained performance has come despite the arrival of several new releases since its August release. Hanuman Ansh competed with Awarapan 2, Batwara 1947 and Toxic during August.The film subsequently faced Mirzapur: The Movie on September 4, followed by Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Haiwaan on September 11. Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra and Vibe arrived on September 18, while Nani-starrer The Paradise released on September 24.
Several other films, including The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest, followed on September 25. Despite the crowded theatrical calendar, Hanuman Ansh has continued to maintain a presence at the box office.
Hanuman Ansh vs Vvaan
On Tuesday, Vvaan earned Rs 6 crore net in India from 7,162 screens on its fifth day, while Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 3.10 crore from 4,411 shows on its 54th day.
While Vvaan was still in its opening week, Hanuman Ansh had completed 54 days in theatres and continued to record daily collections above Rs 3 crore. The figures are notable given that the older film was playing on substantially fewer shows than the newer release.
Hanuman Ansh will now face another major challenge with Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer Drishyam 3, which is scheduled to release on October 2.
Week-wise box office performance
Hanuman Ansh opened with Rs 10 lakh on its first day and collected Rs 1.08 crore during its opening week. Its second-week collection stood at Rs 40 lakh.
The film witnessed a major turnaround in its third week, collecting Rs 10.40 crore. Its earnings then increased sharply, with the fourth week bringing in Rs 61 crore and the fifth week recording its highest weekly collection of Rs 90.25 crore.
The film collected Rs 80.25 crore in week six and another Rs 44.80 crore in week seven.
Week eight began with Rs 3.35 crore on day 50, followed by Rs 6.50 crore on day 51 and Rs 9 crore on day 52. After falling to Rs 2.25 crore on day 53, the film recovered to Rs 3.10 crore on day 54.
Hanuman Ansh closes in on Border 2
Hanuman Ansh is now approaching the domestic theatrical collection of Border 2. According to Sacnilk, the Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty-starrer ended its theatrical run with Rs 329.43 crore net in India.
With Hanuman Ansh currently at Rs 312.38 crore, the film needs approximately Rs 17.05 crore more to cross Border 2’s reported domestic net collection.
The film’s performance in the coming days will determine whether it can close this gap, particularly with Drishyam 3 scheduled to arrive on October 2.
