Sikh Pilgrims Asked to Submit Passports for June 2026 Pakistan Visit

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has invited passport applications from Sikh devotees intending to travel to Pakistan in June 2026 to mark the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. According to the SGPC, interested pilgrims can submit their passports to the committee’s headquarters at the Yatra Department by March 31, 2026. The initiative is part of the annual tradition of sending a (group) of Sikh devotees to Pakistan to observe the anniversary at historical gurdwaras. Providing details, SGPC Secretary Balwinder Singh Kahlo stated that the will be sent in June this year, as per the established practice. He informed that applicants must submit their passports along with a recommendation from their respective SGPC constituency member before the deadline. He further added that devotees are required to attach a copy of a valid identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card or voter ID, along with their passport submission. Pilgrims have been advised to complete the process on time so that the necessary documentation can be forwarded to the government authorities for further processing. The SGPC emphasized that timely submission of documents is essential to facilitate arrangements for the यात्रा to gurdwaras located in Pakistan.
