Two Toronto Youth Charged in Violent Brampton Home Invasion and Shooting

Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged an 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old youth, both residents of Toronto, in connection with a violent home invasion that took place in Brampton several months ago. Two occupants sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred on June 14 at approximately 4:30 a.m. in the area of McLaughlin Road and Steeles Avenue West. Five individuals were asleep inside the residence when three armed suspects forcibly breached the home through a rear glass door. A fourth suspect remained stationed nearby in a getaway vehicle. Upon entering the residence, a confrontation ensued between the armed intruders and the occupants. During the struggle, two victims suffered gunshot wounds and were immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Authorities confirmed that both individuals received care and are currently recovering from their injuries at home. Following an extensive investigation, officers from the Central Robbery Bureau located and arrested the two suspects on July 15. The police investigation remains active and ongoing as investigators work to identify and apprehend the remaining two suspects involved in the incident.
