Shimla Fire: Five Houses Gutted in Dhar Village, No Casualties Reported

Five houses were completely gutted after a major fire broke out in Dhar village in the Jubbal area of Shimla district on Thursday night. No casualties have been reported in the incident.
The Jubbal Fire Station received information about the blaze at around 11:20 pm on Thursday. Following the alert, a fire department team was immediately dispatched to the village to control the situation.
As the fire was intense, additional fire tenders were called in from Rohru, Kotkhai and Tikker. Local police personnel and villagers also assisted the firefighters in efforts to bring the blaze under control.
Firefighters faced considerable difficulty in containing the flames. Fire teams remained at the site until morning to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby houses and other parts of the village.
Police said the exact cause of the fire has not yet been established. An investigation has been initiated to determine how the blaze started.
Education Minister Rohit Thakur, who is also the local MLA from the area, expressed grief over the incident and assured the affected families of all possible assistance.
Thakur said that, considering the extent of the damage caused by the fire, every possible effort would be made to provide government assistance to the affected families. He also directed the administration to ensure immediate relief for those impacted by the incident.
