Escalating Conflict Forces KLM to Suspend Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam Flights

Dutch airline KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has cancelled all its flights to Dubai until March 28, citing security concerns linked to rising tensions in the Gulf region. The development comes as the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran entered its 14th day on Friday. Due to the ongoing hostilities, the situation across several Gulf countries has remained tense. Amid the escalating conflict, a number of countries have temporarily closed their airspace, leading to widespread disruptions in international travel. As a result, thousands of passengers have reportedly been stranded at different airports. In response to the security situation, KLM announced that it will suspend all flights to Dubai until March 28. Apart from Dubai, the airline has also halted its services to two cities in Saudi Arabia — Riyadh and Dammam. The airline stated that the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety amid the uncertain security environment in the region.
