Bihar Harassment Video Goes Viral: 4 Arrested in Samastipur After Alleged Groping Incident

A fresh alleged harassment incident has surfaced in Bihar, days after a similar case in Jamui triggered widespread outrage on social media. Four people have been arrested and an FIR has been registered in connection with a viral video that purportedly shows a group of men harassing and groping a girl in Samastipur district.
According to Samastipur police, the video is purportedly from the Jagatsinghpur Bandh area. The footage reportedly shows several men surrounding the girl and allegedly harassing her in broad daylight.
The video circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention and prompting demands for police action. Police subsequently registered a case and arrested four people in connection with the incident.
The latest case comes days after an alleged harassment incident in Bihar's Jamui district, where a video involving two Class 10 students, a boy and a girl, surfaced online.
In the Jamui case, one of the men was allegedly seen grabbing the boy by his shirt collar and pulling him away from the girl. As the girl attempted to escape, a masked man was allegedly seen catching her from behind.
The two students had reportedly gone out on a scooter after attending their coaching classes on Saturday evening. Three people were arrested in connection with the Jamui incident after the video emerged online.
Following the latest incident, Samastipur police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged harassment and are examining the identities and actions of those seen in the viral footage.
