Tragic Road Accident in Fazilka: Three Youths, Including Two Brothers, Killed

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three young men, including two brothers, in Punjab’s Fazilka district late Sunday night. The incident occurred near Abohar when a speeding car lost control and crashed into a divider. According to available information, the deceased have been identified as Uday (24), Vishal (22), and Raman (22). Uday and Vishal were real brothers. Uday was married and is survived by his two children. Two other individuals, Roshan and Anmol, sustained injuries in the accident and are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. All five victims were residents of Balluana village near Abohar. It is reported that they had taken a contract for harvesting kinnow from orchards and were returning home after completing a deal late at night when the accident occurred. Family members stated that they received a phone call around 1:30 AM informing them about the accident and that the injured had been taken to the civil hospital in Abohar. Upon reaching the hospital, they were informed that three of the youths had already succumbed to their injuries. The two injured were given प्राथमिक treatment and later referred to Faridkot for advanced care. A person who helped transport the injured to the hospital said that the accident took place around 1:15 AM between Sunday and Monday. The car was coming from Hanumangarh Road and was descending from a bridge towards Roti Chowk. Due to high speed, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into the divider at the intersection. The impact of the collision was severe, crushing the front portion of the car and damaging the structure at the crossing. Police officials from the City-1 police station confirmed that the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of Abohar Civil Hospital. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted, after which the bodies will be handed over to the families. Meanwhile, the injured have been referred to Faridkot, where their treatment is ongoing. Police have begun an investigation into the incident and are recording statements from family members and witnesses.
