Amid escalating international tensions related to Iran, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened an important meeting with all Chief Ministers on March 27. The meeting will be held via video conferencing and is expected to focus on the evolving situation arising from the Iran conflict. According to official information, Chief Ministers of states where the Model Code of Conduct is currently in force will not participate in this meeting. Earlier, during his address in the Rajya Sabha on March 24, the Prime Minister had expressed concern over the growing crisis linked to Iran. He urged all political parties to remain united, stating that if the conflict involving the United States and Israel with Iran continues, it could have serious consequences. The Prime Minister emphasized that the coming period could be a major test for the country and highlighted the need for cooperation from all states. He called for working together as “Team India” to effectively deal with any emerging challenges. Meanwhile, the government has dismissed reports suggesting a shortage of petrol, diesel, and LPG in the country. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas clarified that India has adequate reserves of crude oil and petroleum products, and there is no cause for concern regarding fuel supply.
