Toronto Police Investigating After Injured Child Discovered in Scarborough

According to the Toronto Police Service, a child was hospitalized with injuries following an incident at a home in Scarborough, while a woman has been arrested in connection with the case. Police said they received a call at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday from a residence located in the Port Royal Trail area. The neighborhood is situated near Midland Avenue and Steeles Avenue East in Scarborough. Emergency responders located an injured child at the scene and transported the child to hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the child’s condition. A woman has been taken into custody in relation to the incident. Police stated that charges against her are still pending. Investigators have secured the area and the investigation remains ongoing.
