Congress Leads in Patti, AAP Dominates Bhikhiwind in Local Body Poll Results

The counting of votes for the general elections of Patti Municipal Council and Bhikhiwind Nagar Panchayat, held on May 26, was completed peacefully on Thursday. The election results were declared immediately after the completion of the counting process. Providing details about the results, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Rahul stated that in the 19 wards of Patti Municipal Council, the Indian National Congress secured victory in 9 wards, while the Aam Aadmi Party won 6 wards. Four Independent candidates also emerged victorious. Similarly, in the 13 wards of Bhikhiwind Nagar Panchayat, the Aam Aadmi Party won 7 wards, Shiromani Akali Dal secured 3 wards, the Indian National Congress won 2 wards, and one Independent candidate was declared successful. The District Election Officer further informed that in Patti Municipal Council, Kulwinder Kaur of the Aam Aadmi Party won from Ward No. 1, Hans Raj (Independent) from Ward No. 2, Amandeep Kaur of the Congress from Ward No. 3, Sunil Kumar (Independent) from Ward No. 4, Asha Rani (Independent) from Ward No. 5, Rajpreet Singh of AAP from Ward No. 6, Sheena (Independent) from Ward No. 7, Sukhninder Singh of AAP from Ward No. 8, Rajwant Kaur of AAP from Ward No. 9, Komal Kumar Jain of Congress from Ward No. 10, Sunita Rani of Congress from Ward No. 11, Surjit Singh of AAP from Ward No. 12, Balbir Kaur of Congress from Ward No. 13, Gurpreet Singh of Congress from Ward No. 14, Harmeet Kaur of AAP from Ward No. 15, Jagmeet Singh Bhullar of Congress from Ward No. 16, Karanbir Singh of Congress from Ward No. 17, Nishan Singh of Congress from Ward No. 18, and Manjinder Kaur of Congress from Ward No. 19. For Bhikhiwind Nagar Panchayat, Manjit Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal won from Ward No. 1, Jasbir Kaur of AAP from Ward No. 3, Bakhshish Singh (Independent) from Ward No. 4, Swinder Kaur of AAP from Ward No. 5, Sarabjit Singh of AAP from Ward No. 6, Karandeep Kaur of Shiromani Akali Dal from Ward No. 7, Harpal Singh of AAP from Ward No. 8, Sarabjit Kaur of Shiromani Akali Dal from Ward No. 9, Vinay Malhotra of AAP from Ward No. 10, Shikha Kakkar of Congress from Ward No. 11, Kamalpreet Kaur of AAP from Ward No. 12, and Kishan Pal of Congress from Ward No. 13. He also stated that Sukhdev Singh of AAP had already been declared elected unopposed from Ward No. 2. The District Election Officer thanked all voters, election staff, police administration, and political parties for their cooperation in conducting the entire election process smoothly and peacefully.
