Son Kills Father, Injures Brother in Punjab Village Incident

A shocking incident has come to light from Dharampura village near Bareta in Punjab’s Mansa district, where a man allegedly killed his father using a sharp-edged weapon and also injured his brother. According to available information, the deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Gurjant Singh. He lived in the village with his wife and son Sukhpal Singh. His other son, 45-year-old Rai Singh, was living separately. Police sources stated that Rai Singh allegedly entered the house at night by climbing over a wall and attacked his father with a sharp weapon. During the altercation, he also injured his brother Sukhpal Singh. Station House Officer Mela Singh of Bareta police station confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused. The body of Gurjant Singh has been placed in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination, while the injured Sukhpal Singh is currently undergoing treatment. The police have initiated further investigation into the matter and are taking necessary steps to apprehend the accused.
