Bollywood actor Tamannaah Bhatia is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest, in which she stars alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Ahead of the film’s release, its song ‘Chhathi Maiya’ has been attracting considerable attention.
Speaking at a promotional event in Delhi, Tamannaah discussed her experience of working on the song and said it had received a strong response from audiences. She also highlighted the care taken by the filmmakers to respect the cultural and religious sentiments associated with Chhath Puja during the shoot.
Chhath Puja presented in a new way
Tamannaah said that ‘Chhathi Maiya’ presents Chhath Puja in a distinctive manner on the Hindi film screen. According to her, director Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar have a good understanding of the festival’s traditions and cultural significance.
She said the makers paid close attention to even the smaller details while filming the sequence so that the festival could be portrayed with care and respect.
According to Tamannaah, the filmmakers wanted the sequence to capture not only the visual beauty of Chhath Puja but also its emotional depth. The team therefore focused on retaining the festival’s traditional elements and its underlying sentiment during the shoot.
Tamannaah describes Chhath Puja as a symbol of gratitude
Talking about the emotion behind the song, Tamannaah described Chhath Puja as a festival associated with gratitude and thankfulness.
She said the festival represents expressing gratitude for what one has received in life while going through its happiness and challenges. Tamannaah added that the same sentiment has been incorporated into the ‘Chhathi Maiya’ song.
The actor also said that receiving appreciation from audiences for the song has brought her happiness and a sense of gratitude.
Folk tale, fantasy and adventure                                                                                                                The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest brings together TVF’s Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra and Ektaa Kapoor. The film combines elements of folk mythology, fantasy, adventure, mystery and humour.
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia play the lead roles in the film.
The movie is presented in association with Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF and 11.11 Production. Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Neeraj Kothari are the producers, while Manu Anand serves as the cinematographer and visual director.
The Vvaan to release on September 25
The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on September 25, 2026.
