A surprising controversy emerged in the results of the **UPSC Civil Services Examination> 2025 after two candidates claimed the same rank—301—using the same roll number, 0856794. Both candidates asserted that they were the real Akanksha Singh, creating confusion soon after the results were announced by the Union Public Service Commission. One of the claimants is a resident of **Arrah> in **Bihar>. Celebrations began at her home soon after the results were declared. She also gave interviews to the media and shared her success story, following which she received widespread congratulations. However, the dispute intensified when another candidate, Dr. Akanksha Singh from **Ghazipur>, **Uttar Pradesh>, also claimed the same rank. She currently works as a gynecologist at **AIIMS Patna>. Dr. Singh posted a video on social media along with her admit card, stating that the rank belonged to her. When both admit cards were examined, an unusual detail emerged. Although the roll number printed on both cards was the same—0856794—the barcode scan revealed a discrepancy. The barcode on the Ghazipur candidate’s admit card confirmed the correct roll number, while the barcode on the Bihar candidate’s card showed a different number. How the Issue Was Resolved To clarify the confusion, Dr. Akanksha Singh from Ghazipur shared her documents with friends, who verified the details through the official UPSC website using information such as the candidate’s parents’ names and village details. Around 12 noon on Saturday, it was confirmed that Rank 301 belonged to Dr. Akanksha Singh from **Abhaipur Village>. Following the confirmation, celebrations began in her family. Dr. Singh achieved this rank in her second attempt while continuing her medical career alongside her preparation.
