Amritpal Singh’s Case Shifted to Amritsar Sessions Court, Hearing Scheduled Today

Member of Parliament Amritpal Singh will once again be produced before a court today in connection with the Ajnala police station attack case. He is scheduled to appear before the Amritsar court through video conferencing (VC). At present, Amritpal Singh is lodged in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. His case has now been transferred from the Ajnala court to the Amritsar Sessions Court, where the hearing in the matter will take place today. The case pertains to the attack on the Ajnala police station that took place in February 2023. Amritpal Singh and his associates were accused in connection with the incident. Earlier, the chargesheet in the matter had been presented before the Ajnala court. Following this, the court decided to transfer the case to the Amritsar Sessions Court for further proceedings. Meanwhile, counsel representing Amritpal Singh has maintained that all allegations levelled against him are baseless. Further developments in the case are awaited.
