Before the visit to the Colosseum, both leaders reportedly had dinner together and held informal discussions on several important issues. The interaction highlighted the growing diplomatic warmth between India and Italy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi later shared photographs from the meeting on his social media accounts. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also posted a selfie with Modi and captioned it, “Welcome, my friend.” The photographs shared by both leaders rapidly went viral across social media platforms. In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said that formal discussions scheduled for the day would focus on further strengthening India-Italy friendship and cooperation. The two leaders are expected to discuss trade, investment, advanced technology, and several global issues during their official talks.
