Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ Empowers 105 Families with Legal Ownership
OSD Sukhvir Singh Distributes Ownership Certificates to 105 Beneficiaries In a significant step towards empowering rural residents, the Punjab Government today organized a function in village Dugni (Dhuri) under its flagship ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme, aimed at granting legal ownership rights to people residing within the Lal Lakir. On the occasion, OSD to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Sukhvir Singh, graced the event and handed over ownership certificates to 105 beneficiary families. Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, was also present. Addressing the gathering, Sukhvir Singh reiterated that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is firmly committed to resolving long-pending issues faced by the common people. He highlighted that many families had been living in their homes for decades without legal ownership documents, which often created hurdles in availing bank loans or undertaking property transactions. He emphasized that the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme is proving to be a transformative initiative, providing long-awaited relief to such families. With the conferment of ownership rights, beneficiaries now enjoy enhanced social and economic security. SDM Dhuri, Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh, informed that the administration ensured a transparent and systematic survey process to identify eligible beneficiaries and prepare the certificates, ensuring that the benefits of the scheme reach every deserving household. The beneficiaries expressed immense happiness upon receiving the certificates and extended their gratitude to the Punjab Government and the Chief Minister. They remarked that the present government has accomplished in a short span what previous governments could not achieve over many years. Among others present on the occasion were Block Samiti member Amardeep Singh Dhandra, Ajgar Khan, Jaspinder Singh, along with several prominent citizens and a large number of local residents.
