Canada Suspends Flights to Israel and Dubai Until March 22 Over Security Concerns
Ongoing conflict in the Middle East has significantly disrupted global air travel, with several countries closing their airspace and airlines cancelling multiple flights daily. Amid escalating tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, Air Canada has announced the suspension of all its flights from Canada to Israel and Dubai until March 22. In a statement shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the airline said the decision was taken due to the current military situation in the Middle East. It added that flight services are expected to resume from March 23, while the airline continues to closely monitor developments and may adjust its schedule accordingly. Air Canada has also provided relief measures for affected passengers. Travelers whose flights have been cancelled can reschedule their journey without paying any additional charges. Additionally, passengers who choose to cancel their travel plans will be eligible for a full refund. The airline further stated that passengers can contact Air Canada for assistance and to explore available options, ensuring minimal inconvenience during the disruption.
