Ludhiana Shocked as Congress Leader Dies After Fatal Axe Attack

A Congress block president, Parminder Tiwari, was brutally murdered near village Takhra in the Machhiwara area of Ludhiana. According to initial information, the attack was carried out by two unidentified assailants who struck him from behind with an axe. The victim sustained severe injuries to his head and ear, causing him to collapse on the spot. He was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital in Machhiwara. Due to his critical condition, doctors referred him to a higher medical centre. Subsequently, his family shifted him to Fortis Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Upon receiving information about the incident, police from Kumkalan police station reached the scene and initiated an investigation. According to police officials, two unidentified individuals were involved in the attack and fled towards Ludhiana after committing the crime. The deceased’s son stated that when he reached the spot, his father was lying on the ground with severe head injuries. He confirmed that two attackers were involved, who escaped immediately after the incident. The family rushed him to the hospital, but he could not survive. The incident has triggered a wave of grief across the region. Police have taken the matter seriously and are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify and trace the accused.
