Mohali Dimple Khatri Murder Case: Police File Nearly 300-Page Chargesheet

Police investigating the murder of Dimple Khatri in Mohali have filed a nearly 300-page chargesheet against accused Harjinder Singh Mann in court. The chargesheet, filed by Phase 11 police station officials, includes around 35 witnesses and several pieces of important evidence. According to the police investigation, Dimple Khatri had not been communicating with Harjinder Singh for around six months. On the evening of June 4, at approximately 7:40 pm, Harjinder Singh reached the company office. Police said that during their conversation, the accused allegedly lost his temper and repeatedly attacked Dimple with a knife. She suffered serious injuries and died at the spot. Following the incident, Harjinder Singh allegedly injured himself with a knife and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. After being discharged from the hospital on June 9, Harjinder Singh was arrested by the police. Two knives allegedly ordered online The investigation also found that the accused had allegedly ordered two knives online before the incident. Police have recovered both knives. CCTV footage from cameras installed at the crime scene and in surrounding areas has also been incorporated into the investigation. Key evidence included in chargesheet The chargesheet submitted before the court includes several important pieces of evidence, including the knives, blood-stained clothes, CCTV footage and information related to bank accounts. With the chargesheet now filed, the case will proceed through the court. The trial will consider the evidence and witness statements presented by the prosecution.
