Saudi Arabia’s national automotive company, CEER, has officially entered the passenger electric vehicle market with the unveiling of its flagship Exobot sedan and SUV. The launch forms part of the Kingdom’s broader industrial diversification strategy under Vision 2030.
The two all-electric models were revealed by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Production of the vehicles will take place at the CEER manufacturing complex, which is described as the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East.
The Exobot sedan and SUV are the first vehicles from the brand, with CEER planning to introduce five additional models over the next five years. The future lineup is expected to include midsize and compact vehicles featuring different powertrain options.
Distinctive Exterior Design
The Exobot sedan measures 5.26 metres in length, 2.1 metres in width and 1.43 metres in height. The SUV is slightly shorter at 5.02 metres long, while maintaining the same 2.1-metre width and standing 1.69 metres tall.
Both vehicles feature a wide stance, wedge-shaped silhouette and a slim horizontal lighting signature at the front. One of the standout design elements is the expansive windscreen, which CEER claims is the largest ever fitted to a private passenger vehicle.
The windscreen uses laminated glass with a reflective coating designed to reduce solar heat entering the cabin. According to the company, cabin temperatures can be reduced from 65 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius within 10 minutes in high-heat conditions.
The models are also equipped with lightweight forged aluminium wheels featuring a triangular design. Another notable feature is the nearly three-metre-long wing doors, which open in a 60-centimetre arc, allowing easier access for both front and rear occupants.
Customers can also choose a First Edition variant, distinguished by red brake calipers and two exclusive exterior paint finishes, Harrat Grey and White Musk.
Technology-Focused Cabin
Inside, the Exobot models are equipped with a 48-inch pillar-to-pillar curved 8K display that spans the dashboard. Additional screens include a 10.4-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch rear display.
The vehicles feature steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering. While digital interfaces dominate the cabin, CEER has retained physical controls for key functions such as gear selection, climate settings and audio volume.
The First Edition models receive black and red Nappa leather upholstery along with a debossed ‘First Edition’ emblem on the headrests. They also include bespoke floor mats and a unique First Edition plaque.
Performance and Range
CEER claims the Exobot sedan can travel up to 670 kilometres on the NEDC cycle. It can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 30 minutes and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds. The sedan delivers 850 horsepower and 1,000Nm of torque.
The Exobot SUV offers a claimed NEDC driving range of 560 kilometres and also supports a 10-80 percent charging time of 30 minutes. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and produces the same 850hp and 1,000Nm output.
At the highest specification level, both models generate 1,111hp and 1,500Nm. CEER claims the sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h. The SUV completes the same acceleration run in 2.4 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 210 km/h.
Future Plans
Since its establishment in 2022, CEER has secured partnerships with major automotive and technology companies including BMW, Hyundai and Rimac. The company aims to achieve 45 percent local content in its vehicles by 2034 while focusing on designing, engineering and testing products tailored to Saudi Arabian and regional requirements.
CEER has not announced plans for an Indian launch of the Exobot sedan and SUV, nor has it disclosed pricing details for either model.
