A Delhi court has issued fresh summons to Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, directing her to appear as a prosecution witness in the ₹200 crore extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Special Judge Gagandeep Singh of the Rouse Avenue Court has asked the actress to appear before the court on November 6.

During the hearing, the court expressed displeasure after Nora Fatehi's lawyer sought exemption from her personal appearance. Taking a strict view of the request, the judge reprimanded the defence and observed that she was appearing as a witness and that such an approach was inappropriate.

The court reportedly cautioned against taking judicial proceedings lightly, stating, "She is a witness. This attitude is not appropriate. The court should not be taken lightly."
