Two Members of Same Family Die in Moga Tragedy After Late-Night Acciden

A wave of grief swept through Bir Badhni village in Moga after two members of the same family died in a tragic sequence of events late Sunday night. The incident occurred when the family was returning from a ‘Jago’ ceremony held in Ghall Kalan. According to police, Parmjeet Singh (39), who worked as an assistant lineman with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, was heading home on his motorcycle. Police said that near Badhni Kalan, Parmjeet Singh lost control of his motorcycle and fell onto the road. The accident proved fatal, and he died on the spot. A few moments later, other members of the family who were following behind in a car reached the accident site. Upon seeing Parmjeet Singh’s body, his aunt Kulwinder Kaur (55) reportedly suffered severe shock. She collapsed at the scene after suffering a heart attack and also died. Police officials have recorded the statement of the deceased’s wife, Hardeep Kaur, as part of the investigation. Parmjeet Singh is survived by his wife and two children, while Kulwinder Kaur was the mother of five children. The double tragedy has left the entire village in mourning.
