Tragic Plane Crash in Northern Andros Claims 10 Lives; Bahamas Launches Investigation
A major plane crash in the Bahamas has claimed the lives of all 10 people on board. The accident occurred in North Andros, located west of Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. Following the tragedy, the Bahamian government has temporarily suspended all Flamingo Air flights as a precautionary measure. Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis initially stated that one person had survived the crash. However, during a later press conference, he confirmed that the critically injured survivor had also died from severe injuries. The identities of those who lost their lives have not yet been released. In the aftermath of the crash, local authorities and the Civil Aviation Authority launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Officials are examining all aspects of the incident to establish what led to the crash. As part of the safety response, all Flamingo Air operations have been temporarily grounded. Authorities said the suspension is intended to prevent any potential safety risks while the investigation remains underway. Officials added that further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing inquiry.
