Punjab FC Blend Experience with Youth in 27-Member Squad for ISL 2026-27

Chandigarh: Punjab FC have announced a 27-member squad for the 2026-27 season of the Indian Super League (ISL), combining experienced players with young talent from their academy. Ten academy players have been included in the squad, highlighting the club’s focus on developing emerging footballers.
Punjab goalkeeper Arshdeep will captain the team as the club prepares to begin its campaign against Odisha FC on October 14 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
Under head coach Panagiotis Dilmperakis, Punjab FC have retained 14 players from the previous season. Indian players Bijoy Varghese, Ricky Shabong, Mohammed Uvais and Nikhil Prabhu are expected to play important roles in the team’s campaign.
The club’s overseas contingent includes Raphael Messi Bouli, Diego Raposo and Alfred Planas Moya. The squad has been assembled with a focus on maintaining a balance between experienced players and young prospects.
The coaching staff has expressed confidence in the team’s balance and preparations ahead of the new season. Punjab FC will aim to deliver a strong performance in ISL 2026-27 while giving young players opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.
