Nayab Saini Promises ‘Golden Future’ for Punjab, Slams Opposition Parties
A state-level rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at the New Grain Market in Kurali under the leadership of local Kharar constituency leader Ranjit Singh Gill. The rally witnessed the participation of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, Working State President Ashwani Sharma, Dr. Subhash Sharma, and several other party leaders. Despite heavy rainfall, BJP leaders addressed the gathering and launched sharp attacks against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, while refraining from commenting on the Shiromani Akali Dal. During the rally, around 2,000 families joined the BJP. Addressing the gathering, Nayab Singh Saini criticized both AAP and Congress, stating that he had come with a message to free Punjab from these parties and to pave the way for a “golden future.” He said that Punjab is seeking a new direction, energy, and leadership, and asserted that only a BJP “double-engine government” can deliver these goals. Saini further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the development of Punjab and that the BJP alone can ensure the welfare of farmers, women, and all sections of society. He accused AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal of misusing Punjab’s funds, while also alleging that corruption and nepotism increased during the Congress’ ten-year rule. Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar and Ashwani Sharma also criticized the AAP government, claiming that the state’s situation has worsened under its rule. They expressed confidence that as 2027 approaches, Punjab’s political landscape is likely to shift in favour of the BJP. At the conclusion of the event, Ranjit Singh Gill thanked the party leadership and honored the leaders present. Several local leaders, including Randhir Singh Dhira, Sukhwinder Singh Goldy, District President Sanjeev Vashisht, and Bhanu Pratap, were also in attendance.
