Electricity Department Officer Hospitalised After Alleged Attack at Substation

An SDO (Sub-Divisional Officer) of the Electricity Department was allegedly assaulted by three unidentified masked men at the Fatehabad substation. The injured officer, Satnam Singh, has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. According to the complaint submitted by SDO Satnam Singh to the Fatehabad Police Chowki, he was attending to official work at the Fatehabad substation during his duty hours when three unidentified masked individuals entered his office. The men allegedly abused him over the issue of poor electricity supply and then physically assaulted him before fleeing the scene. The victim stated that he sustained serious injuries in the attack. Fellow employees immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, Fatehabad Police Chowki In-charge Parmjit Singh said that a case has been registered against the unidentified assailants based on the statement of SDO Satnam Singh. He added that police have launched raids to trace and arrest the accused, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
