A 50-year-old man of Punjab origin, identified as Kanwalpreet, has been arrested in California during a joint operation conducted by local police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Authorities allege that the accused was operating an international drug syndicate and supplying narcotics under the guise of running a pizza restaurant business. According to investigating agencies, law enforcement officers raided multiple locations linked to the suspect. During the search operations, officers recovered 40 kilograms of narcotics (including cocaine and methamphetamine), several handguns, and a substantial amount of cash in US dollars. Investigators revealed that the accused used pizza delivery services as a cover to supply illicit drugs, through which he had established an extensive trafficking network. Police investigations further established that the suspect had allegedly been residing in the United States without valid immigration documents. Officials stated that he used his restaurant business as a facade for a prolonged period to conceal his illegal narcotics operation. Alongside the narcotics, law enforcement agencies seized multiple illegal firearms from his possession. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused under severe charges involving drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, and immigration violations. If proven guilty in court, he faces a potential lengthy prison sentence and heavy financial penalties under US law.
